The equipment rental market has experienced sustained growth over the past decade or so, accelerated by a shift towards the use economy and the development of new mobilities.
According to Statista (2019), equipment rental market revenues have risen from $31.4 billion to $39.6 billion, posting a +26% growth rate since 2013. Projections to 2024 show an annual growthrate of around 5%.
However, most rental professionals (bikes, scooters, skis, water sports, scooters...) use management tools that are no longer up to date (paper, spreadsheets, Excel), and very few have an online reservation solution.

Faced with this situation, Raphaël and Benoit (both alumni of Grenoble École de Management) and Jeremy (Epitech) decided to develop SaaS software to help rental companies digitalize the entire rental process:

To date, the solution has already attracted more than 250 equipment rental companies and 60,000 equipment reservations have been managed on the platform. Major retailers such as Decathlon, as well as major franchises (Sport 2000, Intersport, Giant, SkiSet) are already using Lokki to digitalize their rental services.

This round of financing will enable Lokki to position itself as one of the future market leaders, with a clearly expressed ambition: to become the preferred DIGITAL partner of equipment rental companies in France.
Supportedby IncubaGEM and Station FLokki's ambition is to become the benchmark management software for all rental professionals. Seed4Soft and SuperCapital will be investing in Lokki to accelerate the startup's development, providing expertise and a B2B SaaS network.
